• Volunteered at the homeless shelter located at the downtown Wichita, ks. Salvation Army in 2021 for six months. Here I did intake paperwork for those who were interested in staying in their shelter. I read them their rights and responsibilities, gave facility tours, cooked and served meals.

• Parenting pays was a 40 hour class I took that helps the parent emotional regulate themselves and their child(ren). How to active listen, validate feelings as well as to be empathetic in any situation as well as learning signs and symptoms of our emotions. This class was put on by Embrace and I completed it in August 2018.
• Elder abuse training was an 8 hour class I took to help notice the signs and symptoms of elder abuse, who is at risk as well as resources to help these patients. This was completed through A better solution in home care in August 2021.
• Mental health training was a 80 hour course I took that taught me about different mental illnesses and how it affects those involved. We talked about how to help these patients, get them to the right resources and how to be culturally competent. I completed this class through Mental Health of America in April of 2024.
• Baby talk was a 40 hour class I took that taught me about the benefits of breastfeeding. I also learned about the importance of going to all of your pregnancy OB appointments, why prenatal vitamins are essential, the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle, car seat safety, crib safety, stress management and more. This class was put on by the Kansas Health Dept. and was completed in April 2025.
