Provide technical oversight and customer support for 13 blasting operations across the Western US while adhering to strict environmental and safety protocols

• Provide volumetric surveys, 3D modeling and aerial photography of blasts using drone technology, coordinate transfer of drill units with multiple transport companies across the west (15 Western States), establish effective free face for blasting by optimizing drill pattern and hole diameter and depth, determine most effective type of blasting (eg, electronic, explosives etc.), reconcile the job by cost, volume retrieved and quality of breakup (or other deliverable), coordinate and conduct weekly/monthly/annual safety training for blast technicians meeting company and MSHA standards.

Provided cross-functional oversight and management for 70+ direct reports producing cast metal components

• Managed 70+ direct reports performing tasks like liquid penetrant inspection, non-destructive testing, visual and dimensional inspections, TIG welding and finishing, collaborated with support departments including heat treat and chemical milling operations to maximize team’s operational efficiency, monitored team’s OSHA and ISO 9001 compliance and NADCAP guidelines and requirements, created a high-performing team with a proven track record of success using lean manufacturing concepts and the Kuhana program to track and report individual progress/improvement, instituted a coaching/mentoring program to improve team communication and collaboration, contributed to the annual department budgeting proposals and implemented improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity, conducted weekly/monthly/annual safety training.

• I rose to VP of Operations during my tenure at Tricon Timber LLC., the largest privately owned stud sawmill in Montana with both global and domestic lumber distribution.
• Under my leadership, Tricon went from a gross loss to a gross annual gain of $2.4 million, while reducing raw material costs by $25.00 per thousand.
• Tricon was the last operating sawmill in Montana to experience a curtailment during the Canadian trade dispute.
• I oversaw a $5.6 million project with a $1.2 million annual return and a 34% reduction in operating costs.
• I maintained a strong sense of urgency while overseeing daily operations.
