Life Saving Award

Throughout my tenure as a Correction Officer, I faced a critical incident involving an inmate who had overdosed on drugs. Upon discovering the inmate, I observed that he was cyanotic, lacked a pulse, and was not breathing. In response, I promptly initiated lifesaving measures, including CPR, and administered three doses of NARCAN. Following the third administration, I successfully restored a pulse. The inmate was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he made a full recovery.
