In my term as President of my chapter, I had learn a plethora of skills that I knew would be essential to my professional development. For some context, I joined fall semester of my sophomore year of college and became President in the spring of my sophomore year to lead a massive restructure of my chapter. I sadly had to drop 14 brothers of my chapter because they weren't maintaining grades or upholding our values and standards. By implementing new recruiting tactics I was able to bring our brotherhood of 7 brothers back up to 17. The most valuable lesson that I learned from my recruiting tactics is that fraternity recruitment works very similarly to sales. Rather than selling a product or service, we were selling our idea and our values. Another lesson that I learned is that when recruiting, its not always about the quantity but more focused on the quality.
I like to spend my time doing a lot of things. I enjoy spending my time on the golf course, playing with my dogs, spending times with my friends, and most importantly learning something new.
