For pretty much my entire life, I have felt as if I had a connection with the water. Lakes, oceans, rivers; something about being out on the open water with a fishing pole in-hand has always seemed so right in my life. Over the years it has been hard for me to continue my passion in fishing in the wake of work and school, but nevertheless, I still try my best to get on the water when I can. Fishing was often something I got teased for liking as a child; mind you I love baseball and basketball as much as the next guy, but for some reason, liking the concept of angling always seemed to isolate amongst my peers. It mattered not; for years I let the sport guide me as I perfected my techniques, delving deeper and deeper into the art. Fishing helped me grow out of my old, hot-tempered ways; it taught me patience and the value of living in the moment. Fishing taught me how to live a present lifestyle, keeping me connected with my fellow anglers, and overall, helped factor into my own personal growth and maturity.
