• Assists the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned.
Leads and develops team members.
• Develops and maintains a creative store layout and product merchandising.

• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops/maintains awareness of new products.
• Works with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Functions as the point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader.

• Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questions.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels team members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.

• Encouraged collaboration between departments to maximize efficiency during peak hours.

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.

• Works with Produce Team Trainer to train Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, team leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner

• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner.
• Orders, replenishes, and merchandises produce and participates in regional programs for purchasing and promotions.
• Monitors inventory control and replenish products based upon WFM ordering standards.
• Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets
