Travel position through Randstad Healthcare. Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching facility. Worked in the Meduflex Critical Care float pool but spent majority of this assignment in the CVICU. Occasionally required to float to other ICUs including neuro-surgical, medical-surgical, medical, surgical trauma, and other various step-down units as needed.

Travel position through Randstad Healthcare. Functioned as a float RN for the medical-surgical, surgical care, PCU, and ICU. Also frequently worked as a hospital float, which consisted of helping out the staff of all the units as needed with various tasks and performing admission documentation as needed for patients coming from ER.

Functioned as a staff RN and charge RN in a general blended ICU/PCU

Functioned as a staff RN in a cardiovascular recovery unit recovering fresh open heart procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve repairs/replacements. Monitored and managed patients after heart catheterizations and pacemaker placements. Frequently managed Swan-Ganz catheters and intra-aortic balloon pumps.

Accepted into selective 16-week Critical Care Residency program in the Medical and Medical-Surgical ICU, which consisted of a combination of critical care classroom/skills lab lessons and preceptor-led clinical practicums. Following preceptorship, functioned as a staff RN where I received hands-on experience with a wide range of complicated and high acuity patients with various medical, surgical, cardiac and neuro diagnoses. Eventually became a charge RN.
