  • After a family emergency took me out of state for an extended period of time, I began driving for Uber in Bloomington, IL, from June 2024 until August 2024. Upon my return to Texas I continued driving for Uber.
  • Uber has been a great way to earn income with a flexible schedule.
  • This flexibility has been important in handling family business while out of state, as well as giving me an opportunity to spend time with my son once I returned to Texas.
  • Uber has been great in keeping up with a positive attitude when dealing with the public, and helping to keep my customer service skills honed for any future service or hospitality opportunities.
  • On a smaller scale, it has also kept me up to date on the cost of operations when dealing with gas, auto maintenance, provisions for riders, etc.
  • While this has been a great venture creating time for my personal life, it is now time to get back into a position to further pursue my career goals.

  • I was responsible for running reports at the end of the day to ensure correct closure of the day.
  • This was a unique experience. Not only for gaining the knowledge of the intricate workings of a movie theater mixed in with my service experience, but also because this location was a cash free location.
  • I enjoyed this experience and would have loved to continue, but unfortunately had to step down due to a family emergency out of state.

Personal Summary

I am a 36 year old single father. My son's name is Elliot and he is 11. I am originally from Illinois, but moved to Texas in 2012. Main reason for remaining in Texas has been to always be a part of my son's life. His mother and I co-parent off the books and have tried to handle our situation in a manner that has been lost in these times. Interests include drawing, movies, music, swimming. I strive to help my son mold his character into one that I feel the world has lost. Adaptable to anything thrown my way.
