Cameron Terry

Santa Clara,UT

Summary

I was born and raised in Santa Clara, Utah. I grew up learning the value of hard work, and how to be happy. Hard work came with sports, farming, ranching, yard work, and other odds and ends for neighbors. I played baseball in high school, and played many other sports when I was younger. One thing about me is that I have always loved planes. With this love, I was always looking in the sky when I heard a big jet flying overhead. Becoming a pilot has always been one of my dreams, and while I was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I received confirmation that it was what I needed to pursue. I served my mission in North Carolina for two years, and was able to have great success. This is another time in my life where I learned the value of hard work. Throughout my short 20 years of life here on Earth, I have learned the harder I work the happier I am when its time to play.

Work History

Entrepreneur/Investor

Self Employed
05.2017 - Current

Growing up I had the special opportunity to raise show steers and show them to make money. After doing it for several years I had saved up a little money, and knew I couldn't just let that money sit there. So at the age of 14 I bought my first car to flip. I flipped many cars throughout high school, and grew to love both the business side and the investing side. I ended up creating a car detailing business when I was 15, and then getting into the stock market when I was 16. As I prepare for flight school I knew I had to find something where I could make money, while still having time to focus on school. After hours of research and talking to people, I discovered option trading. Now I spend just 30 minutes every morning at market open and have seen exciting results.

I have a love for entrepreneurial and investing opportunities, and am excited to see how this can apply into aviation.

Ranch Manager

Cross L Cattle
01.2018 - Current

As a ranch manager, I have various responsibilities. Keeping the cattle happy and healthy is the goal we strive for. Good breeding has one of the biggest effects to healthy cattle. One of my jobs as ranch manager is to know the pedigrees of all the cattle, and their EPD numbers (Expected Progeny Difference). These numbers are critical with artificial insemination. We breed bulls at Cross L Cattle, so genetics are everything.

When its not breeding season I am kept busy with, running sprinklers, moving cows, feeding cows, cleaning corrals, keeping horses loose, and fixing fences.

In the spring we have our annual bull sale. So one of my jobs is to run the social media page that I started for the ranch. On this page I post the bulls and other pictures of the ranch. (I had to take a break from it do to a church mission, but aim to get it back up and running this spring.)

I love my job as a ranch manager for Cross L Cattle!

Roadside Assistance Technician

Zips Towing
08.2023 - Current

I have worked as a Road Side Technician for Zips Towing now for several months, and have loved it. At this job I change tires, jump batteries, help people get into locked cars, and deliver gas. I have learned about many makes and models of cars, and how to work on them. The experience I have gained in this job will benefit me the rest of my life. By being on time and honest about my work, I was able to acquire a 5% raise already!

Wedding and Event Employee

Taylormade Events
08.2023 - Current

Working with Taylormade Events has been outstanding. I have learned so much from a few short months with them. I drive a truck and trailer, and have traveled all around Southern Utah delivering weddings and events. I carry heavy wood tables to the designated spot, and then use a drill to put the legs in. Chairs have to be taken in many trips. Often times we set up drink bars, backgrounds for pictures, and big white tents for bigger events. Strategic thinking is a big part in this job when it comes to setting up the events, and then loading the trailer to make everything fit.
