- Target reminds me of Walmart but they have there differences. For starters u get better benefits and discounts at target other than Walmart. The brand of clothes and aisle setups of course. Other than that upon arriving I would help unload a truck. Special days like Tuesdays and Thursdays I would unload 2 trucks. After unloading all the trucks we would stack up the line and be assigned an area of the store to stock. You would either grab a u-boat or a pallet and use the elevator to go to your designated area. Helping and assisting customers to find what there are looking for were what managers and team leads love to see. Being polite and mannered until the time you leave are a major part of being out on the floor.

- First arriving at Walmart you have to clock in and attend the everyday meeting with everybody in cap 2 (2nd shift) to assign your work areas for today. We would all start by moving the truck line and sort them by sections and numbers. Once unloading was finished we would use a jack to pull the pallet full your assigned area to go to your designated area and stock on the sales floor. You were allowed a 30 minute lunch and a 15 minute break. Cleaning your area before you leave was very important so 3rd shift can organize without doing clean up also.

- Pen station is a fast food place that preps every ingredient fresh before operating on the grill cooked. That was the difference from other sub sandwich places because there was a new shipment everyday. I was cashier first when I got there and had to memorize the menu then switch to cook for the rest of the day. it’s quick and easy to get your food while watching us cook to know it was just made. One hour from closing I would clean the dining area and bathrooms before clocking out to prepare for next days shift.

- Fedex reminds me a lot of Amazon the only difference was it was more teamwork on trucks. you would clock in and go straight to moving boxes and rotate from different sized trucks. One truck would take around 2-3 hours depending on how many workers were on your side. you would end your shift when all the trucks were done. You had the option to stay as long as you like if you choose so.

- How Amazon works is first walking in you have to clock in and go straight to your designated area. After you grab your scanner and go to a lane of your pick you would have to organize and scan every package that comes from induct out on to the belt. Keeping up a fast rate you have to have a steady fast paste. if anything pops out you throw away; same goes for broken items. If you miss a scan you have to cycle the belt around to rescan. You would get a break every 5-6 hours.

- For this family owned business upon arriving my job was to prep every topping and renew the old ones form yesterday. After that’s completed you would have to clean the dishes and sort the glassware. Throughout the day I would be rotating from bussing, serving, and helping the cooks out. At the end of the day; as a team clean up the whole area. Before I leave I would do a dough count for the workers for tomorrow and or yourself for when you come back for morning shift.
