Scientific Researcher

Houston Methodist
01.2023 - 08.2024
  • At the Grattoni Lab, my work centered on designing and developing nanotechnology-based implantable devices for advanced drug and cell delivery systems. I focused on creating long-acting and remotely tunable drug delivery platforms that could revolutionize how chronic diseases are managed.

My work extended to intratumoral immunotherapy and local immunomodulation, using implantable devices to precisely deliver drugs or other therapeutic agents directly to target sites like tumors.
  • One of the most exciting aspects of my research was exploring nanoscale molecular transport-understanding how molecules move through these devices at the atomic level to optimize performance. Occasionally, I had the privilege of reading and asking about the space nanomedicine projects, testing these technologies in microgravity aboard the International Space Station, which provided unique insights into device functionality in extreme environments. My role was part of a larger mission to transform healthcare through nanodevice innovations.
