I have always wanted to work in healthcare. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a labor and delivery nurse because I loved the idea of caring for new moms and their babies. As I grew older and explored different fields in healthcare, I realized there were many ways to make a difference. That led me to Radiology, and I realized quickly that this was the career that fit my interests and my strengths. What drew me to Radiology was all the different specialists within the one field. I realized it would allow me to make a meaningful impact on patients without some of the aspects of nursing, such as being frequently exposed to blood, that I knew were not the best fit for me. Choosing Radiology was not about giving up on my original dream, but it was about finding the right healthcare career where I can make the most difference while doing work that I genuinely enjoy. My motivation comes from hearing radiology technicians who genuinely love what they do. Listening to their experiences and seeing how rewarding they describe their careers has made me even more excited to pursue this pathway. They inspired me to work hard so that one day I can earn my place in the field as well. My goal is to provide compassionate care, making patients feel comfortable during their appointment, and continue expanding my knowledge throughout my career so I can make a positive difference in every patient's experience.
