• Developed new life skills by engaging in the construction of buildings. This job required the use power tools and other construction equipment to lay the foundation and begin framing to safely and effectively create beautiful homes.

• Assisted Duke energy in restoring power to Asheville and surrounding areas post hurricane by clearing storm debris

While working in this role I had the opportunity to oversee a team of student leaders to ensure that the UNCG Guarantee Scholars Program offered the best possible experience for its diverse scholars. This role has afforded me the ability to enhance my leadership skills by allowing me to oversee a student council, plan and execute events, and manage a predetermined yearly budget. Further, this role assisted me in developing skills in marketing and professional communication

• Completed comprehensive research project for senior honors thesis.

In this position offered by the UNCG Guarantee Scholars Program, I effectively engaged with and mentored first year college students within theGuarantee Scholars Program to ensure they received continued support during their college adjustment period. Further, I served as the primary point of contact between these scholars and program administrators.
