As mental health technician I help nurses with new admissions, perform scheduled patient safety checks and document results to establish patients' well-being, assist with patient restraint and seclusion scenarios to create a safe environment for patient and medical personnel, I develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients to create safe and supportive environment, observe patient behaviors and mental status and notify the charge nurse of unusual or potentially dangerous occurrences, I help escort patients from to meal, activities, and visiting areas to maintain standard of safety and security, I also support patients needing medical care to relieve patient anxiety and promote positive outcomes, administered medications to relieve symptoms and monitor effects on the patients, deliver compassionate patient care, focusing on safety, comfort and emotional support, chart on each patient daily, take patient vitals signs and reporting findings in health charts, applied de-escalation techniques to promote patient cooperation.
