Summary

Focused and disciplined firefighter with 13 seasons of experience in fire suppression, prescribed burning, administrative duties, and report writing that is currently serving on a Type 1 Interagency Hotshot Crew with prior roles serving on a Type 3 and Type 6 fire apparatus early in my career. I am able to operate in both a team setting or unsupervised to locate, control and manage fires while utilizing maps, GPS, and other navigational tools whilst confidently performing hand crew tactics, basic air operations, gathering data, providing feedback to ariel resources, and status updates for my supervisor to accomplish a task safely and efficiently. Proven ability to lead by example in extreme conditions and mentor novice or inexperienced firefighters on leaders' intent, fire line tactics, hazards, lookouts, communications, escape routes and safety zones that are passed down the chain of command from our supervisors. In a classroom setting I can demonstrate excellent written and oral communications to articulate on chainsaws, portable pumps, hand tools, multi-channel radios, and GPS. Additionally, I can deliver effective training on safety, standard operating procedures, fire behavior, and fire line tactics to foster a culture of safety and resilience while bridging field experience with instructional clarity to build capable and confident fire line personnel if needed for my supervisors. After 13 years in fire, I've learned that leadership means listening, staying calm under pressure, and always putting the crew first. I am proud of the experience I've gained and remain committed to learning, teaching, and serving wherever I'm needed most.
