Curriculum

• Plan, coordinate, and implement the Curriculum Adoption Process for the 9-12 Independent Study Academy.
• Curriculum Listening Sessions - Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate faculty feedback from curriculum listening sessions.
• Course Creation - develop and build out 3 separate high school math courses.

Learning Management System - Maintenance

• Lead and oversee curriculum maintenance for Independent Study Academy
• Train TOSAs in Learning Management System maintenance.
• Monitor curriculum support requests to track trends for further training needs.

State Program Compliance

• California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA) - Oversee CHYA compliance for Home School and Independent Study Academies. Includes reporting, teacher training, coordination with curriculum provider.
• AB 800 (Workplace Readiness Week) - Plan and implement AB 800 for Independent Study Academy. Includes collaborating with CTE Coordinator for curriculum development, teacher training, and communication plan.

Supervision of TOSA team

• Directly supervise four TOSAs - ensure training needs are met, support TOSA balance of work amongst their varied projects.
• Provide CSTP aligned work performance appraisals

• Provide monthly formal observations, along with pre- observation meetings and and post- observation debriefs.
• Provide mid-year and end of year reviews to indicate progress towards meeting proficiencies with TPEs.
• Regularly meet with Intern Program team to discuss best practices and stay updated with program.

Supporting Home School Academy and Independent Study Academy

Professional Development/Instructional Support

• Develop professional development webinars for parent educators
• Develop a network of math instructional support materials for teachers and students
• Plan and implement weekly math support classes with TOSA and tutors.
• Update bank of math resources for parent educators

Curriculum Resources and Development

• Assist in updating curriculum resources for parent educators
• Plan and implement CAASPP Prep classes for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 11
• Designed Statistics course independently
• Collaborate in review of Home School Hub for necessary course edits.
• Develop a MathSpace Guide for teachers to support implementation
• Analyzed math coursework and aligned it to CAASPP interim assessments
• Collaborated with partners to design Math 11A course, designed Math 11B course independently.
• Review all PLP math courses for any recommended edits.

• Cowrote Math Fundamentals course for academy wide implementation
• Developed guided note and student support materials for history courses
• Collaborated with fellow teachers for team teaching experiences and enrichment opportunities such as field trips and social events.
