The middle school students meet with their "matched person" once a week to make projects, visit museums, cook, and give these patients compassionate companionship. As a member of the leadership committee, I have been, and continue to organize the younger members of the group, train them to interact with the elderly members as well as organize the activities that the middle school members and elderly Alzheimer patients can do together.
