Understood complicated medical conditions involving multiple organ systems. Facilitated communication between multiple medical specialties, DME providers, insurance, and government programs. Used portals, telephone, fax, email, and telehealth to accomplish those goals. Created an emergency binder that communicated past and present diagnoses, current medication and labs, baseline functioning that was in an easy to update format. Used troubleshooting techniques to interpret whether nonverbal behavior indicated an emergency or not. Learned to use medical equipment such as food pumps, suction, pulse ox, traches, g-tubes, vents, and mobility devices.

Trained to help community in disaster. Learned first aid, light search and rescue, incident command protocols, and emergency shelter staffing. Helped man tables at events that promoted disaster preparedness even being interviewed on the radio once. Assisted local law enforcement in active shooter scenario training as shooting victim. Administer the Gloucester CERT Facebook page now that I no longer live locally.

Worked for two years with Guest services to act as victim, criminal or bystander in law enforcement scenarios in Williamsburg. Worked approximately 6x's with Armor ITI with G4S and then Centerra for surveillance/counter surveillance training for government groups. Worked two days as accident victim to help a National Guard Unit get their decontamination certification. These roles require quick thinking and adaptability within specified parameters to make the scenarios believable for the participants. No current contracts.
