Working in the hospitality industry has given me many skills that would translate well for this housekeeping position. In essence I was hosting and maintaining a living type situation on a very large scale. At the beginning of my shift I would make sure the dining room and bar were clean and well organized to be ensure both guests and staff could comfortably navigate the space. The guest experience is always of the utmost importance and we were a culture of "yes," catering to a wide variety of requests and desires. I enjoy rising to the occasion, being dynamic and fluid, using creativity and consideration to meet these needs. There is a very delicate balance between being available for guests when they are in need, while not being overbearing or distracting from their experience. This is a quality I possess. I lean heavily on my intuitive nature to read what is necessary, while also adapting to each individuals unique energy. I am extremely proactive and happily can keep myself busy without needing to be directed to each task. This was an upscale environment, as were every one of my prior positions, and I appreciate the atmosphere and culture immensely. It feels wonderful to provide the very best service I have to offer. The amount of time I invested into this full time position is telling of just how dedicated I am to my work. I only left this position because the establishment closed. I am trustworthy, professional and warm. I really value the time I spent working this job.
