I have been involved heavily in aviation since 1975. I have a passion for training others to enjoy aviation for recreation or for a career. As a jungle pilot I flew the expanse of the Amazon for over 10 years. Since 2016 I helped organize and manage Turning Point Aviation a not for profit 501-3C organization giving opportunity for adults and young people to train as pilots at a very low price.
I also own and operate the Westmoreland Family Clinic where I have served as a provider since 1995.
I am a Methodical Flight Instructor with 45 years of experience providing primary and advanced flight instruction to private pilots and students. Extensive knowledge of aerodynamics, flight characteristics and aircraft teaching procedures. Well-versed with latest flight instructional techniques and procedures of standard aviation training programs. Communicative and safety-conscious professional possessing excellent multitasking, recordkeeping and instructional abilities.
Managed program, taught ground school and coordinated 3 active instructors.
Overseen maintenance of 3 aircraft in school fleet.
Raised funds, planned and coordinated Family Aviation Events yearly. Three events in Lafayette, Tn and one in Bowling Green, Ky over 1,000 adults and children experienced their first flight in a private aircraft with 12 qualified pilots in various aircraft.
All the above is a non-profit give back to the community.
