• Pre-Op RN ( assessing patients, verifying surgical details, educating patients and family, act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care to meet individual patient needs, starting IV’s, administering medications, ensuring all paperwork and consents are complete, prepare patient physically and psychologically for surgery, bridging the gap between arrival and entering the operating room, monitoring patients before surgery), clearly and effectively communicating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
