As an office assistant at a flooring store my duties include inputting paperwork into the computer system. I work with QuickBooks here, processing payments for customer invoices and bills. I also file paperwork, update pricing, receive and make phone calls to customers. I check all written receipts to make sure there are no mistakes with the calculations. I do light cleaning when necessary along with greeting customers and answering questions regarding flooring.
At DSI Security my duties included signing in visitors and interviews. I also signed in deliveries while inputting information into the computer system. I checked the temperatures on the inbound and outbound delivery trucks along with the seals. If the seals didn’t match the paperwork or the temperature was not the same as the paperwork, I wrote a detailed report while also reporting to the client. I reported any incidents or first responders to the safety manager. I often volunteered for trailer checks on the weekends, where I checked all the loaded trailers on the lot to make sure the temperatures were correct along with the fuel. I weighed empty and loaded trailers when coming and going. I communicated to needed personnel over the radio. I made sure employees scanned their badges upon entry and sent and received emails. I organized and filled paperwork.
