I started journalism and working for the Wildcat Chronicle at the beginning of my junior year. I don't think I could have made a better decision. I started off with a normal journalism class in the first semester then I liked it so much that I took the secondary class called journalism production. During my time in the class I've have won three reporters of the week, multiple awards from IJEA for my sports articles and a photo essay. The Wildcat Chronicle also won a Golden Eagle from NISPA and the Pacemaker Award from JEA, both in 2024. I mainly wrote articles about the the West Chicago Baseball team during my senior year. I played baseball in my junior year but tore my MCL so I hung up my cleats in the beginning of my senior season which gave me the opportunity to take over the Baseball section for the Chronicle.
