
Perform daily morning inspections to check for any worn, broken or malfunctioning of components and check structure for any cracks or wear.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, or as required pms to ensure rides are well maintained and working properly.
Perform daily test on restrains and lap bars to ensure they’re working properly, make adjustments or fix as needed.
Work on ride rehabs in our area or assist in helping other mechanics in different area with their rehabs.
Be on call and troubleshoot rides when receiving a downcall. Work with other teammates in assuring ride is back to running properly.
Close out work orders on computer and log all work that was done at the end of the day.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatics problems by using and reading schematics from books and laptops. Perform inspections and replacements of hydraulic valves, pumps, cylinders, and hoses. Repaired electrical components by replacing connectors, wires, relays, and all other components.
• Conduct vehicle or transportation equipment tests, using diagnostic equipment. Perform all hourly and warranty maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Used cranes and hoist to remove heavy pieces from or in to machines in a safe and orderly manner. Used wood blocks and cranes to replace undercarriage, metal plates and cutting edges.
• Assist in disassembling and assembling machines for certified rebuilds, re power, and undercarriage. Torque all bolts and nuts to specs.
• Modified and repaired broken metal parts, cracks, thin and worn metal using a welder and torch.
• Inspect recreational vehicles to diagnose problems and perform necessary adjustment, repair, or overhaul.
• Confer with customers, read work orders, or examine vehicles needing repair to determine the nature and extent of damage.
• List parts needed, estimate costs, and plan work procedures, using parts lists, technical manuals, or diagrams.
• Examine or test operation of parts or systems to ensure completeness of repairs.
• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
