Participated in the implementation of the Insurance Software Solution: InsurancePlus – Individual Life and Health Administration Platform. Assessing and documenting in detail business and operational requirements, determining functionality, data and other informational aspects. Responsible for legacy data conversion from the source system to the native DB2 for I environment and the processes needed to build the solution's data. This was accomplished utilizing IBM i based native DB2 & SQL tables and views, RPGIV/FREE and SQL procedures and functions.

Participated in a TRANSPORTATION project as the Lead Developer/Project Manager to analyze, design, develop and implement a new freight solution utilizing the application TRANSPOREON (TP) involving about 200 users in all MAPEI plants (20), creating the interfaces: Transmission (MAPEI to TP) and Settlement (TP to MAPEI) processes. This was accomplished using ILE RPG free-form, CL, DB2 & SQL. This project was very successful in improving the transportation process to minimize delays and maximize productivity, finding the most economical ways to transport goods, which was critical for the company.
Lead Developer/Project Manager in an EDI - ERP integration project. Provided analysis, design and development to create and implement the ERP interfaces needed to generate the documents: purchase orders (850), invoices (810), shipping notices (856), and payment confirmations (820) to be integrated with the EDI system thru the services provider EXTOL, which facilitated the translation and transmission of these documents with our trading partners. IBM i technology was used: RPGIV, CL, DB2 and SQL. This project contributed to increase efficiency and improve accuracy by automating the data exchange, allowing much quicker order processing, and reducing manual/paper-based processes.
Participated in the evaluation, selection and implementation of an IBM i/AS400 application GUI modernization solution: WEBGATE as MAPEI USA Project Manager. Assisted in requirements analysis, feedback and collaboration. This effort involved hundreds of users and contributed to improving system accessibility while preserving data processing capabilities and workflows.
Provided software design, development, testing, maintenance and support to the ERP: Customer Service, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing and Production applications using RPGIII/IV/ILE, CL, DB2 & SQL. Also assisted with migration and system administration: work management, security, performance monitoring and recovery.

Assisted several clients such as CITIBANK, ROYAL CARIBBEAN, SLIMFAST, SOUTHERN WINE AND SPIRITS, in enhancing their applications: Auto Insurance Applications System, Back End Cruising Reservation systems, Supply Chain Management (BPCS - Business Planning and Control System), Warehouse Management (JDA E3 AWR - Advanced Warehouse Replenishment), Change Management Configuration (MKS Implementer), etc.
This was accomplished utilizing IBM iSeries based native DB2 & SQL tables and views, RPGIII, RPGIV, RPGLE, embedded technologies, Stored Procedures and Triggers. This increased customer and internal users' satisfaction.

Provided software design, development, maintenance and support to LSAMS (Loans Management System) applications in an AS/400 environment using DB2/400, RPGIII, RPG IV, COBOL, CL, SQL/400, QUERY/400 and utilities allowing internal users tools to improve customers satisfaction.
Created/configured a complete Change Management control system in the AS400 platform using MKS IMPLEMENTER: Testing, Quality Assurance, End User Acceptance and Production environments to assure that changes to source and objects are properly completed, improving developers' productivity and, software integrity and quality.

Specialized in AS400 application development: DB2/400 relational database, SQL/400, RPG/COBOL programming languages, CASE (Computer-Aided Software Engineering), data dictionary and cross reference tools.
Participated in an IBM Latin America Project to evaluate the effectiveness of the CASE tool SYNON database design and implementation, and RPG/COBOL programs/processes generation to create business application systems in AS400 environments. Also Project Leader in migration/conversion projects from System /370 to AS/400 machines.
Responsible for AS/400 technical support and training. Provided assistance in OS/400 - PTF installation and customization, system administration: performance tuning, capacity planning and security.
