While at home my main duties were food prep and cooking. Every meal of the day fed 8,000- 10,000 soldiers. My main focus during the morning shift was making 700 pieces of French Toast, then prepping the omelette bar with fresh ingredients. Cooked on hot grill tables and maintained them always. Lunch, my main focus was either the sandwich bar or short order area (fryer). Dinner, my main focus was food prep for the meal and for the next day's breakfast shift. Cleanliness was always a number one priority.
Abroad I had various duties to fill. Maintained our storage containers and freezers of foodstuff. Prepped and cooked meals. Coordinated with the Army FOB to hire locals to help with driving trucks and forklifts to get water pallets from the flight zone to a storage barn. Distributed said water around the whole compound, especially where needed most (IE units low or about to go out on mission). Cleaned out 78 conexes to search out expired water and foodstuffs. Took all expired foodstuffs to a burn pit for disposal. Helped screen locals wanting to work in the compound by using a machine that would take pictures of their eyes (for ID purposes) and would ask basic questions, through an interpreter, before sending said locals to Psy Ops for deeper questioning. Collected mail and distributed them to the soldiers.
Cooked for the unit when needed. On training missions coordinated with the visited post's kitchen to acquire foodstuffs for the soldiers. When needed, helped move equipment into storage.
Weighed deli cuts and cheeses. Restocked food items as needed. Cashiered when needed.
I sold Warner Bros. merchandise from the Topanga Mall in CA. I also would restock merchandise at night, when needed.
My main duty was as a cashier. I took customers orders in person and over the phone. Occasionally I'd be asked to help with the prepping of pizzas (IE retrieving ingredients for the cold storage room).
I either sold tickets from the box office, collected tickets at the door, or sold concessions (job duties rotated daily among staff).
My main responsibility was preparing and maintaining the salad bar in the deli. I also weighed and labeled different cold cuts and cheeses and set them out on display. When needed I worked the cash register.
Almost have my BA in Psychology. Will be using my GI Bill to finish and also get a degree in Communications.
