Summary

I was a Portland Police Officer for 25 years in which I worked various assignments. Besides patrol, I worked in the Gang Enforcement Team; I taught GREAT to middle school students and taught Family GREAT; I was a negotiator for the Hostage Negotiation Team; I was an investigator for the Drugs and Vice Division; I was utilized as a Spanish interpreter throughout the Police Bureau; Over the years I also served as a coach/mentor to new officers. Throughout my career I was exposed to simple cases to very complicated cases. I am able to work individually or as part of a team. I have worked closely with other local agencies, state agencies, and federal agencies. I have also worked with prosecutors to achieve the best results. I also worked with victim advocates to help and protect victims. In short, 25 years in law enforcement I became a tool of all traits because I was exposed to so much during my career.
