Underwent and Completed rigorous training on mobile attacks, extended hose laying, shelter deployment, and fire line construction on various types of fuel. Worked alongside TCU Captains and engineers on numerous fires, learning the functions and capabilities of different tools such as the Super P, Chingadera, and the Big Foot. Evaluated areas after containing fires to suppress hot spots and extinguish possible rekindling. Supported firing operations and Vegetation Management Projects (VMP'S) through the use of Back Pumps and Drip torches. Assisted in the development of firebreaks to control the spread of wildfires. Maintained a high level of physical fitness to meet demands of extended operations and be able to perform in high stress environments. Upheld high level of performance within the crew to prepare for Readiness exercise (Batista). Contributed to the training of new recruits in 1C certification. Supported continuous improvement by participating in debrief sessions and trainings. Enhanced preparedness by conducting pre-season Personal Protective Gear and equipment checks. Optimized safety in the workplace by briefing and enforcing strict protocols. Completed intense trainings on structure firefighting equipment use and tactics such as Donning and Doffing, Knots, proper SCBA use and fire suppression strategies.
