• Performing defrost procedures on IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) tunnels to maintain optimal freezer performance and prevent operational issues.
• Performing Operating Procedures (Initials Startup, Normal Operations, Temporary Operations, Emergency Shutdown, Emergency Operations, Normal Shutdown, Startup following an Emergency Shutdown) for R717 refrigeration system (condenser, high and low temp. stagers), boiler system (including blow down procedure and restarting from failure), pneumatic, high-pressure water and fire system, plant exhaust and heaters. All this upholding industry standards and regulatory compliance related to refrigeration systems.
• Handling the boiler feed system: pumps, shut-off valves, bypass valves, softener, anti-scale and oxygen inhibitor system.
• Ensuring proper operation to refrigeration system and piping parts: compressors, evaporators, condensers, metering devices, pumps, vessels and drums, purgers, anhydrators, stop, shutoff, relief, check, solenoid, expansion, pressure-regulating, and float-type regulator valves.
• Checking, calibrating and interpreting data (numerical and graphical) for the decision making on the compressors HMI and on the Distributed Control System (pressure, temperature, level, relative-humidity, current, electrical consumption, electrical power and refrigeration capacity).
• Completed root cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues, understand problems and implement corrective plans.
• Conducting Ammonia leak detection using calibrated gas detectors to ensure safe conditions before performing maintenance or corrective actions.
• Provide training and orientation for new staff members, fostering a team-oriented work environment.

Project: Retrofit Éxito-GreenYellow 2020-Éxito Bello

Objective: To change the refrigeration system (From R22 to R744) in the Exito Bello Warehouse.

• Supervising technicians, interpreting and checking designs, blueprints, and industrial refrigeration and structural calculations, addressing any concerns that arose during the execution phase.
• Monitoring work progress and construction materials allocation, resulting in cost savings and increased productivity.
• Working together with and leading the mechanical team, as well as supporting the electrician team, with focus on upholding quality and safety standards.
• Performing inspection, monitoring and optimizing mechanical, hydrosanitary, electrical, electronic, and control operation of R744 refrigeration equipment (refrigerators, Gas Cooler, and Refrigeration Rack system), maximizing project efficiency, and solving problems on the go.

• Performing modifications, adaptations and programming in order to obtain an automatic maintenance program using the company's CMMS software, to manage the maintenance plan of the maintenance and injection areas.
• Analyzing, planning, standardizing and optimizing processes, in the production plant in the maintenance and injection areas.
• Participating in design projects (from the conceptual design and detailed engineering phase, until supervisory of the manufacturing phase) with metal structures, hydraulic parts and mechanical power systems.
• Formulating and evaluating projects related to heat treatments for mechanical parts.
• Managing CAD/CAE software for the design, modeling and analysis of mechanical components, products, and even for drawing some production plant layouts.

Receiving preparation and training at the CAD/CAM/CAE Laboratory, in basic and computer-aided engineering topics, such as Computational Fluids Dynamics (CFD) and Spacecraft Attitude Control problems, in addition to making documents using Latex.
