My parents foster for Albany County Dept. for Children, Youth & Families. They were first certified twenty years ago and have had over three dozen children in their care throughout my lifetime. This has lead to multiple different skill developments such as, empathy, problem-solving, patience and has improved my emotional intelligence overall. I am extremely passionate about the safety and wellbeing of children, as well as striving to ensure permanency in a forever home. I am in the process of earning my Associates in Human and Social Sciences and plan to pursue my bachelors after earning my degree. I believe that the knowledge and understanding I have would be an asset for a position in this field of work, while also giving me valuable experience as I continue my education.
