Pre Procedure duties

- assessing patient history and physical

-educating patients on the procedure and type of sedation

- preparing procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is sterile and ready

-administering IVs and other medication as directed by the physician

During Procedure duties

- administering sedation (protocol, versed, and fentanyl) as ordered by the physician

-monitoring the patients vital signs and sedation levels.

-assisting with polyp removal, biposies, esophageal dilations etc

-labeling and managing specimens.

-documenting procedure details, patient responses, any interventions provided

Post Procedure duties

- monitoring patient during recovery and assessing for complications

-providing discharge instructions regarding diet, activity, and potential side effects

- education patient on follow-up care and next steps based on findings.

• Vital signs and assessing the abnormalities
• Administering vaccines to various age ranges
• Efficient in performing and recording 12-Lead EKG
• Communicating with various providers and clinic staff to provide the at most care for patients
• Proficient in current charting system (EPIC)
• Valid BLS certification
• Patient triage
• Proficient venipuncture and Intravenous lines

• Performing pre and post procedure assessments
• Proficient with IVs and administering IV medications
• Conducted pre-procedure phone assessments to gather detailed medical history to ensure readiness for upcoming procedure (remote).
• Thorough knowledge of EKG rhythm strips
• Valid ACLS and BLS certification
• Record pre and post procedure vitals
• Obtain pre procedure history and physical information
• Proficient in multiple electronic charting systems (EPIC, APEX PROVATION, CENTRICITY, etc)

• COVID testing experience
• Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and infection control
• Familiar with medication terminology, first-aid, and safety
• Recording vitals and details of patient condition
• Administering medications (injectables, intravenous medications, and oral medications
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in multiple electronic charting systems
• Inserted, maintained, and discontinued IVs according to physician's orders
• Thorough knowledge and experience with blood draws
• Thorough knowledge and experience with centrifuge and specimen collection
• Valid BLS certification
• Proficient in performing 12-lead EKGs
