Assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during shift. Coordinates communication between departments. Supervises nursing and clinical staff while advocating for effective teamwork. Ensures that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains safety and supervision for staff as well as patients. The House supervisor facilitates delivery of high-quality safe and effective nursing care, assists in operation of the nursing department according to legal guidelines of mental healthcare in the state of Texas, supervises staff activities according to the hospitals’ goals and philosophy, and support's nursing staff in interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures and nursing standards of care.

• Assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position also includes the responsibility of maintaining safety, and supervision for staff as well as patients. The House Supervisor facilitates delivery of high-quality safe and effective nursing care, assists, in operation of the nursing department according to legal guidelines of mental healthcare in the state of Texas, supervises staff and activities according to the hospitals’ goals and philosophy, supports nursing staff in the interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures and nursing standards of care.

• Contract with psychiatric facilities in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Texas, to provide interventions, therapy, medication and care for patients with mental health diseases, disorders, to include psychiatric ICU, substance abuse, detox and recovery.

• RN initiates and implements the Intake procedures and processes to admit a patient for InPatient psychiatric treatment within a hospital.
• RN supervises mental health techs to complete processes safely.
• This includes drawing labs, collecting urine, EKG, provide medications and simple procedures such as wound care, respiratory treatments and intramuscular injections.
• RN is responsible for management of aggressive combative behaviors and psychotic episodes, this could include the implementation of restraints.

• RN assist and assess patients preparing to receive dialysis treatments routinely.
• RN monitors patients, maintains a safe conducive treatment environment and supervises dialysis techs throughout the shift.
• RN provides medications, collaborates with Nephrologists and other specialists to ensure successful patient outcomes.

• Provide assessments, therapy, medications and treatment for Military patients in a residential substance abuse treatment program.

• Manage care for patients with dual diagnosis of mental retardation, Intellectually developmentally disabled as well as Schizophrenia, Bi Polar Disorder, Major Depressive disorder and other diseases and disorders under the mental health umbrella.
• Coordinate care provided by other specialists and assist patients to appts.
• RN is responsible for training and supervising staff within 7 group homes, making a 44 patient case load.

• Manage patient care for patients with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective DO, Bi Polar Disorder, mood disorders to include anxiety and depression, having acute episodes of psychosis in an Inpatient setting.
• Implement therapeutic communication, administer emergency medication and restraints when needed.

• Manage patient care for patients within their homes.
• Provide therapy, patient teaching and help patients to maintain their mental health independently from home, with a goal to decrease patient hospitalizations and improve patients overall physical, medical and mental health.

• Manage patient care in a residential treatment facility, for patients with significant mental disabilities and deformities to include Mental Retardation, (moderate, severe, profound), Intellectually developmentally disabled and mentally ill patients with Schizophrenia, Bi Polar Disorder, OCD, and Schizoaffective Disorder.
• Assist patients to perform daily activities of living, administering, implementing G-tube feedings, respiratory treatments and Trache care.
