McDivitt School was recognized as a FRS-NJ Bronze Tiered Certified School in October 2019.
  • DEI Team (2021-present)- Raises cultural awareness at McDivitt School as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team Communicator: Liaison between Team and Administrator.   • Created Microsoft Teams training videos for staff, students, and families during remote learning to assist in becoming familiar with the platform.
  • Participated in Grant Writing: National PTA “STEM + Families Propelling Our World.” James A. McDivitt Elementary School PTA was a grant recipient, and received $1,000 to use for Virtual Family STEM Night. Attendance included more than 300 students, families, and staff with a shared vision of encouraging STEM.
  • Participated in Grant Writing: National PTA “PTA STEM + Families Science Festival” sponsored by Bayer. James A. McDivitt PTA was a grant recipient, and received $1,000 to use for “STEM + Families Science Festival.” This grant provides an opportunity to host hands-on science experiments that bring students and families together, and pursue opportunities and careers in STEM fields.
  • Facilitated the development of and applied for 2 Promising Practices which were accepted and recognized by Character.Org: “Building Imaginative Lifelong Learners with STEM” and “Adopt the Old Bridge Police Department.”
  • Created STEM Lessons for educators of grades 3-5 to utilize with students in an effort to encourage STEM in the classroom.
  • Collaborated with and trained James A. McDivitt School building substitute in remote learning to effectively teach from home and in the classroom, during the pandemic.
  • Assisted in the budgeting process for James A. McDivitt School for the 2021-2022 school year
