SUMMARY: The MAPU Director of Retail Operations will manage and direct retail store and fit center operations and personnel in assigned geographic area. The DRO will oversee and develop company retail stores and fit centers to ensure that all areas of the retail stores are properly and efficiently operating at all times. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring store activities, such as sales, expenditures, progress reports, order status reports etc., to inform management of store operations status. This position reports to the Operating Officer.
Service Standards
· Ensures clean, organized, and attractive stores.
· Implement and maintain operating standards and propose process changes needed.
· Ensures a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Controllable Costs, Labor Cost Control and Staffing Levels
· Train and assist store managers with annual staffing plan.
· Train and assist store managers with work schedules based on approved staffing plan.
· Create Annual Labor Trackers for each store and train store management to use and submit.
· Monitors stores for inefficiencies that impact controllable costs and makes needed improvements.
Inventory and Sales Controls and Management Processes
· Oversees Physical Inventory process and results in all locations.
· Ensures safe and efficient storage of inventory.
· Ensures stores are compliant with all recordkeeping requirements for inventory and cash management.
· Accountable for accurate sales and inventory data results in the company POS system.
Management Oversight
· Hires and trains store management in all store processes.
· Approves payroll for each store location.
· Plans and implements store layouts and remodels.
· Sets store hours in all locations.
· Payment and receipt management including gift cards.
· Oversee the hiring and termination of non-management store personnel.
· Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations.
· Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring store activities such as receipt handling, correct use of the POS system, inventory management, HR policies and timekeeping.
· Makes corrections to operating costs to align and comply with budgetary guidelines.
Acquisition Evaluation, Due Diligence and On-Boarding
· Initial business evaluation pertaining to retail operations, existing processes and current staff.

· Works with Dir of Merchandise to determine quality and beginning quantity of acquisition target inventory during due diligence and store on-boarding.
