I have over 28 years of experience in biological and biochemistry research, working in different environments like industry, universities, and scientific labs. I managed data, clinical documents, and research schedules during a six-year contract with the U.S. Army focusing on burn, blood loss, and trauma research. I am experienced in analyzing data, and I have trained others on scientific tools and procedures. I have 13 years of experience with mass spectrometry, a technique used to identify and measure molecules, and I have 18 years of hands-on knowledge of protein chemistry methods such as CE-SDS, cIEF, Western blot, and ELISA. Currently, I am a expert in using ProteinSimple’s ELLA (CSP) and JESS laboratory platforms. I am skilled in separating and isolating specific groups of cells using techniques like FACS and bead-based methods, and I can verify cell types using flow cytometry. I have a strong history of writing, reviewing, and editing scientific articles, grant proposals, reports for clients, and presentations. I am also comfortable creating custom databases in Excel and using various statistical tools like SAS, STATA, R, JMP, Python, and Perl.
