• Administrative responsibility for performance and outcomes of Bethesda’s customer-driven Maternal/Infant Services. Responsible for process management activities and initiation of process changes coordinated with the multi-disciplinary Process Team. Performance determined from customer requirements and business objectives defined in terms of output characteristics. Accountability for OB services at two hospitals with annual deliveries over 6000; IVF Lab & Reproductive Endocrinology Center; OB/GYN Residency Clinic; Home Discharge Program. Dual report to Vice Presidents of Patient Care. Direct reports included: 3 Clinical Managers; 1 Office Manager; 2 Patient Educators; 2 Lactation Consultants; and a Childbirth Education Coordinator. • Responsible for: annual licensure of 147 maternity units; coordination of Level Designation Surveys; review of architectural plans; hospital consultations; liaison with other programs; maternal-child health grant reviews. Initiated consultation service with Program Medical Advisor for perinatal departments in the state desiring to expand abilities of their perinatal departments.
