Summary
Work focus on the building and maintenance of all the Audio Visual (AV) infrastructure located throughout the Aquarium facilities including all screens, speakers, mics, dive communication systems, digital signage players, and projection equipment.
Highly team focused. Work consists both within the aquarium’s Audio Visual team, and cross departmentally with all other teams within the aquarium.
Weekday daytime functions (60%)
- Maintain Installed systems throughout the aquarium including DSPs, Crestron controls and other control systems, passive and powered speakers, microphones, projectors, video switchers, touch panels, flat screens and all other equipment as assigned.
- Install and integrate new AV components/systems for the Aquarium campus.
- Aid aquarium staff across the campus on an as needed basis for set-ups/strikes, trainings, troubleshooting, and builds of new user systems.
- Update digital signage schedules.
- Work closely with the other departments to ensure proper implementation of audio-visual components for facility, exhibits, conference room and classroom spaces.
- Update and archive all AV related software and programming.
- Develop and keep up to date all AV documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Manage and self-assign audio visual work orders. Assist in the day-to-day workload of the ticketing system.
- Project manage AV work with external integrators as assigned.
- Shoot and Edit videos/photos/audio recordings to be deployed internally and over the web. media work will often consist of shooting training videos, new staff portrait photography, and editing other departments assets when requested.

Evening & weekend functions (40%)
- Event staffing both in person and on-call phone troubleshooting.
- Set up and strike of staging (mics, cabling, PA systems, lighting)
- Operating equipment for audio and video for events
