Summary

Emergency veterinary medicine continues to see a surge in need for intelligent, hard-working veterinarians to approach the new issues and remain committed to the field of emergency medicine. As a solely emergency focused vet, I am excited to practice quality medicine in high intensity situations, continuing the upward surge of excellent veterinary work in what was historically seen as an environment too fraught with issues such as infectious disease, high turnover, and behavioral problems to be an example of exemplary care. I am drawn to the challenges of diagnostics puzzles and out-of-the-box thinking required in high-stakes, quick paced, and time-sensitive cases presented by emergency medicine, and I look forward to continuing to learn and advance my veterinary practice.
