- Educate patients' family and other caretakers in ongoing burn wound care, rehabilitation, procedures and provide emotional support.
- Independently manage mechanically ventilated patients requiring advanced respiratory support and continuous hemodynamic monitoring.
- Titrate vasoactive medications, sedatives, analgesics, insulin infusions, and other high-risk continuous intravenous medications according to patient condition and evidence-based protocols.
- Assisted physicians with bedside procedures including central venous catheter placement, arterial line insertion, escharotomies, intubation and bronchoscopy.
- Collaborate closely with burn surgeons and other providers, as well as other members of the interdisciplinary team to improve patient care and outcomes.
