Selected for a competitive, four‑week, state-funded, residential summer program for intellectually gifted NC rising high school seniors. Studied an intensive primary discipline natural science (specifically cancer biology, paleontology, and food and ag studies), plus interdisciplinary courses in philosophy and ethics. Lived on Meredith College campus, engaged with guest speakers and electives, and learned in a community dedicated to depth, creativity, and collaboration

Selected for a competitive, four‑week, state‑funded residential program for academically talented NC high school students. Conducted independent research in Archeology under East Carolina University faculty mentorship, produced a formal research paper, and presented findings at a symposium.

Competitively selected for community program for high school juniors. Explored local job opportunities, engaged in service projects, met with government officials, and presented research on community issues to civic leaders

Selected for the Goldsboro Youth Council, a student-led organization that promotes civic engagement, community service and volunteerism and youth leadership. Participated in planning events, volunteering projects, and representing youth perspectives to local government.

Selected to represent my school at a statewide leadership program for rising juniors. Developed skills in personal, group, and societal leadership through workshops, community service, and collaboration with student leaders from across North Carolina. Hosted at NCSU.

My fiction writing was selected for publication in The Wayne Collection, a curated showcase of outstanding creative work by students in Wayne County.

Nominated participant in a leadership program hosted at the University of Mount Olive. Co-developed the SASI Scholars Club, an initiative for student-athletes to provide tutoring and academic support to younger students. Built skills in teamwork, communication, goal setting, and community engagement through workshops and collaborative projects.
