As a 911 dispatcher, my duties include answering emergency calls, determining the nature and urgency of those calls, while staying calm and collected to gather accurate information, and relaying that to the appropriate first responders.

I am responsible for tracking the status and location of emergency units using radio and computer-aided dispatch systems, providing ongoing support to responders while in the field, and maintaining open lines of communication with multiple agencies, if needed.

I also am in contact with alarm companies calling to dispatch burglary alarms for residences and commercial sites as well as fire alarms.
