  • Served as a liaison between the school's Community Learning Center (CLC) program and students not in program, parents, teachers, administration, stakeholders, and the community.
  • Arranged a wide range of clubs (8-10 each quarter) for any student to participate in, which involved consistent and clear communication with parents/teachers as well as great organization to ensure things ran smoothly for the students.
  • Worked closely with school administration, as well as CLC administration, to discern areas of our program that could be improved.
  • Implemented a new behavior system for the students in program to improve emotional regulation, social-behavioral learning, and overall environment between students.
  • Still found time between meetings, paperwork, and other behind-the-scenes planning to engage meaningfully with students in program and get to know them.
  • Helped faciliate tutoring clubs for both program and non-program students to get the additional help they needed.
  • Made executive and informed decisions regarding student behavior and how it has effected program, including involved conversations with parents, discussing student behavior with teachers, and interacting with students directly.
  • Completed and kept track of important paperwork that needed to be submitted weekly, such as student attendance.
  • Built strong and positive relationships with school administration, community members, parents, and both program and non-program students.

  • Assisted my Community School Coordinator (CSC) with daily tasks such as completing paperwork, checking student attendance, and program schedule.
  • Made executive decisions regarding more serious/involved issues amongst students.
  • Made schedule for other staff members.
  • Planned program activities, both morning and afternoon, every week for students to engage in.
  • Explained program activities to staff each day so that they would understand before seeing students.
  • Aided in planning clubs for both program and non-program students by organizing which students were in which club, where the club would be, etc.
  • Attended weekly meetings with my CSC and Northeast Family Center (NFC) director to understand the administration side of program.
  • Built strong relationships with students in program that reflected mutual respect, compassion, and trust.
  • Helped run clubs/fill in wherever necessary, requiring great adaptability and on-the-fly thinking.
  • Interacted with parents, teachers, and administration when necessary or CSC wasn't able to.

  • Have frank and occasionally difficult/serious conversations with students if their behavior/actions were not appropriate for program.
  • Built, at the very least, a trusting and safe relationship with each student so that they felt comfortable asking for help if needed.
  • Brief lesson planning when running my own club/when the lead teacher needed assistance.
  • Writing progress report notes, as needed, as it applied to a student's behavior.
