Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for the age-varied, complex, multi-system issue surgical patient. Responsible for circulating multiple, complex surgical procedures within the following surgical specialties: general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, neuro surgery, plastic/reconstructive, podiatry, thoracic, urology and vascular surgery. In-service provider for specific equipment related to all surgical specialties. Responsible for surgeon preference card production and maintenance. Expert first/second scrub in orthopedic and urologic procedures. Primary preceptor and mentor for new employees and surgical technology students.
