After earning my Masters Degree in Education and my Minnesota Teaching license from Saint Thomas University in May of 2007, I had my first child in September of 2007. I subsequently had twins in 2010, and was a stay at home mom for all three children until 2016.

While helping my children learn and develop, I assumed the role of President of the Parent Association at Sunny Hollow Montessori from 2014-2016.

I also served as President of my neighborhood Women's Club called Kings Maplewood Women's Club from 2016-2018.
