As a high school student applying to a variety of schools, I think it is a priority to address my accomplishments in the past four years. I am a member of National Honors Society, Beta Club, Sophomore and Junior council, Young Life leadership, Leukemia&Lymphoma Society, and Campaigning for Catherine McKnight. My two biggest accomplishments, that changed how I viewed almost every aspect of my life, include my Moondance Adventures service trip and raising over $5,000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My Moondance trip taught me of the importance of appreciation of what we have, and how learning to give back changes your mindset on everything. While working alongside 10 team members to raise money, as a competition between teams, I raised over $5,000 in the CSRA and was the fourth leading member for the CSRA. Not only did it feel great to give back and bring my team to second place, but also to feel helpful fighting against something my mother once had to live with.
