  • In partnership with Navair, design a dolly to hydraulically lift and support an empty H-53K "King Stallion" helicopter for repair.
  • Design Constraints: corrosion resistant, 50-year or infinite life, minimal service, towable, run off 220V 3-phase power.
  • Main role was to help design dolly and perform structural analysis calculations using methods such as finite element analysis.

Junior Design Project (Spring 2023)

  • Semester long team project to design, spec, build, and test a 3-axis pick-and-place robot to manually and autonomously sort metal balls.
  • Main role was to analyze design using various mathematical techniques to optimize and ensure design will not fail.

Sophomore Design Project (Spring 2022)

  • Semester long project detailing the entire engineering design process from start to finish.
  • Project Problem Statement: Design a machine that can be used to transport hazardous, hot, sharp, or any other dangerous material.
  • Project Assignments: Work in groups of 2-3 to come up with a problem statement and a design that solves it. Develop strategies, concepts, modules, components, and engineering drawings to efficiently solve the problem.

  • Details: Utilize PTC Creo Parametric as well as three group members to design a travel toiletries case, and a corresponding website and owners manual.
