I worked as an assistant teacher at Maiden Cove preschool for two weeks as a volunteer to gain opportunity and make connections. I worked alongside a teacher helping with anything from teaching, planning, keeping the children safe, preparing activities, and cleaning up. I assisted in teaching two classes with the same teacher in both. One was with 3-4 year olds and the other was 4-5. Each class had thirteen children.

Over the course of the summer I worked with children from the ages of 3-13. I was primarily in charge of a group of 18 seven year olds. I also was a substitute for any absent counselors, the art teacher, and was responsible for first-aid of any child, not just in my group.
