Responsible for supervising and caring for special education students during all classroom activities, transitions, lunch/recess, and unified arts classes. Helping students with accessing food and toileting as needed per IEP's.
Responsible for prepping and teaching ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Social Skills for special education students in middle school (5th-8th grade).
Execute and implement student behavioral, support and interventional plans
Collecting Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence (ABC) data on student behavior throughout the day to aid teaching and clinical staff in assessing why and when a behavior occurs and to develop plans to improve student outcomes.
Work jointly with special education teacher, clinical staff, speech and PT specialists, and general education teachers to ensure appropriate teaching materials, monitor student progress, and address student needs.
Communicate with families daily to report on student behavior and activities for the day.
