  • Became a T3 in less than three months; ensuring the correct process and safety measures were met. Inspected freight containers for damage or defects prior to unloading into the warehouse.
  • Started Path to Lead in 2021 and moved to the shipping department. Running the open container labels in GLS to locate old date merchandise on the dock and ensured it was loaded immediately.
  • Utilized Yard Management to locate, move and stack proper trailers to the assigned doors for the corresponding freight type.
  • Ran Reports in GLS at end of shift to begin conducting the closing needs; for example, the number of shiploads, keying in production rates and moving hours to the proper job-code line.
  • Assisted at 7078 in Illinois in 2022 in unloading and loading large freight types, utilizing my equipment training as well as knowledge in both departments.
  • Got promoted to On Job Trainer for Continuous Skills Development for a much more detailed training process in January of 2023.
  • Successfully became a Receiving Desk Clerk in January 2024 for second shift. I learned the strengths and weaknesses of my associates; gave detailed advice and proper re-training to ensure their safety, quality, and production needs as well as ensuring the dock flow and operation needs were met.
  • Monitored YMS and verified freight doors to properly staff any priorities, events, and old dates to be worked daily.
  • Reported any discrepancies found during the shift, for example: strays, old labels, housekeeping needs, and equipment/maintenance malfunctions.
  • Communicated well with other departments such as Quality Assurance and Traffic. Identified any quality errors and reported to QA when necessary; also conveying the proper knowledge and guidance to the receiving associates for any future discrepancies. Made Known to Traffic associates of any carrier damages and any trailer errors that needs attention.
  • Reported at the end of shift the total number of empties, freight received, and partials that were created. As well giving a pass down to the next shift desk clerk any information that will continue the drive and efficient success of the dock and operation.
