As the Pupil Accounting & Student Data Coordinator, I am responsible for the oversight of pupil membership accounting for purposes of state funding, coordination of student enrollment services available across the district, and supervision and training of such information to building-level administrative assistants.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides leadership for pupil accounting functions across the district, including data management, records maintenance, reporting, and audits.
Provides guidance and support to building-level student enrollment and data management processes into student information system (SIS).
Develops and maintains expertise in reporting requirements and policies for pupil membership.
Facilitates and coordinates compilation and submission of district pupil accounting reports and any cyclical audits.
Supervises student record data entry into SIS.
Establishes, supervises and implements student record data maintenance coding in accordance with state regulations and local district policies.
Serves as liaison between district and the Intermediate School District for pupil accounting reporting, including special education membership records, and auditing purposes.
Maintains shared-time (partner programs) student information to meet funding, attendance, grade reporting, and transportation requirements.
Provides pupil accounting expertise during exploration and implementation of student services offered by district.
Works in conjunction with other department supervisors to develop, implement, and monitor training opportunities for building-level administrative assistants.
Supervises the pupil accounting work of elementary administrative assistants during the summer months to ensure work is completed consistent with district expectations.
Generates preliminary enrollment projections for district resource allocation.
Provides guidance regarding reporting of schools of choice and open enrollment.
Monitors homebound and home based services between schools, teachers and families.
Attends and participates in pupil accounting training and seminars.
Takes initiative to recommend changes to improve efficiency and to increase use of technology.
